Where is the start button?

As online spending increases in both the consumer & trade markets, there has never been a more important time to get your company website more visible! These days, simply having an online presence for your company is not enough. Whether your business sells its products or services face to face or over the phone, continually opportunities come from web pages that are working for you, every hour of the day and every day of each week.

Admittedly, the journey to get your company online can be confusing and expensive as it is no longer simply a case of 'having that website'. Due to a general lack of understanding, poor decisions are made which affect your bottom line. It should no longer the responsibility of the technical department as it is clear that Managing Directors need to know what is involved in being successful online. This again poses some serious questions like "where will I find the time"?

However, help is at hand with the new OnlineXcellence programme. Designed by Brian Mathers and Adrian Bereziuk and run in partnership with Central College Glasgow, the OnlineXcellence programme offers participants an excellent starting point. For more information, log on to www.onlinexcellence.com/masterclass

The masterclass is designed for Business Owners and strategic influencers in companies and our content will help in demystifying the jargon and let you see how to gain significant prominence over your competitors.

The programme involves

  • Planning for key decision making
  • Strategic research for the decision makers
  • A website audit
  • Understand the aims and potential of the website
  • Budgets & timing
  • How search engines work
  • Identifying the correct platform and agency
  • Who should manage the website on a day to day basis

Online success through this program has already been achieved by Clark Engineering who started out in February 2009 on the OnlineXcellence initiative and by February 2010 saw their overall website traffic up by over 2000%. From a zero base start selling consumables online, the site during this period generated additional revenue sales of £300,000 during the worst of the recession with turnover still increasing to a projected £1million.

So, if you are currently wondering how to grow your business 'during a recession' start by signing up to our interactive workshops. The 7 workshops are suitable for most types of business.

The OnlineXcellence programme begins in May 2010 at Central College Glasgow where initially, 8 companies will have the opportunity to hold the destiny of being able to trade more effectively online by being empowered to aim for online success with their website through support from this knowledge transfer program.
